Beer batter is commonly used to protect foods with a crispy coating while being deep fried. A great example of a beer battered item is white fish.

Sample Recipe

1 can of dark beer 1 1/2 cups of flour Bit of salt Couple of eggs Bit of oil Seasonings (Pepper, chili flakes)

Dump all these ingredients in a bowl and mix. Dip and coat the food to be prepared, then add to hot oil (typically 350 degrees) until it floats. Remove from the hot oil and drain. Enjoy!
