Królewskie

Królewskie (English translation: Royal) is a lager beer formerly produced by the Browary Warszawskie Brewery, Warsaw. It is a local brand, destined primarily for the area of Warsaw and its surroundings, though it can be easily purchased in all Poland and abroad. The brand currently belongs to Heineken.

The beer contains 6% alcohol. King Sigismund III Vasa (the king who set Warsaw as the capital city of Poland in the 17th century) is depicted on the label of Królewskie.

In 2005, the production of Królewskie was moved to the Warka brewery. This was due to costs, limited space, the brewery's inconvenient location in the centre of Warsaw (next to large residential and business areas) - and high value of the land on which the brewery was located, and which could be sold after the move.

Królewskie is also one of the main sponsors of the football club Legia Warsaw.
